| Mr. White has been involved in venture investing in the
information technology sector since 1980. He was the founding General Partner of the
Advanced Technology Development Funds and was instrumental in founding the Advanced
Technology Investment Center, an incubator at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior
to entering the venture capital field, Mr. White was the founder and president of Alarmco,
Inc., one of the largest central station alarm companies in California. Previously, he was
head of long-range planning at a division of TRW Systems, and consulted for various
branches of the Department of Defense.
Mr. White is a director of Natural
MicroSystems Corporation (NASDAQ: NMSS) and Preferred Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PFNT), as
well as several private companies, and was responsible for the Fund's wireless investments
in Nextel Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXTL), OneComm Corporation (NASDAQ: ONEQ), and
DialPage Corporation (NASDAQ: DPGE). Mr. White was a founder of the Atlanta Venture Forum
and Business & Technology Alliance, and was a director of the Council for
Entrepreneurial Development. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree in
electrical engineering from Brigham Young University, and an MBA from Harvard Business
