| Nancy Spooner is a
senior associate in the Telecommunications practice group of the Washington, D.C. office
of Swidler, Berlin, Shereff & Friedman, L.L.P. Ms Spooner represents communications
service providers and equipment manufacturers in regulatory and transactional matters at
the federal and state level. In particular, she counsels companies in the wireless
industry, including PCS, cellular, point-to-point microwave, LMDS, SMR and satellite
service providers. Ms. Spooner also assists companies seeking to provide long distance
services by obtaining state authorization and providing guidance on a wide range of
federal and state regulatory issues. In addition, Ms. Spooner advises electric utilities
entering the telecommunications market. Prior to
joining the firm, Ms. Spooner represented wireless carriers before the Federal
Communications Commission.
Ms. Spooner is a graduate of the College of William and
Mary and the College of William and Mary's Marshall-Wythe School of Law. She is a member
of the District of Columbia, Virginia and California Bars, as well as the Federal
Communications Bar Association.
