| Michael F. Young is the President and Founder of YDI (Young Design, Inc). His
academic credentials include a BSEE in Electrical Engineering and a Masters Degree in
Broadcasting. During his 4 year military service, he attained the rank of Captain in the
US Army Signal Corp. He has over 25 years experience in both radio and data
communications. He combined these two technologies and started YDI in the late 80s to
develop a line of VHF/UHF radio modems. His company expanded to include Spread Spectrum
products when the technology was permitted by the government. Mr. Young has also been an Adjunct Lecturer at several colleges and universities teaching computer programming, math and telecommunications courses. He is an Amateur radio operator and set up many radio repeater stations. Additionally, he holds a commercial pilot’s license and is a Certified Flight Instructor. As an inventor, he also holds a patent for a multi-channel communications system and has other patent applications pending for current YDI products. |
