Steve Wood has been associated with emerging technology for the majority of his career, with broad experience in personal computers telecommunications, information services and personal communications. He is currently CEO of Wireless Services Corporation, a company that provides mobile message management services to telecommunications carriers, large corporations and Internet service providers. Its AirNote service enables subscribers to manage their e-mail wirelessly, via one and two-way pagers, handheld computers or PCS telephones.

Since earning a BS degree in computer engineering from Case Western Reserve and an MSEE from Stanford, Wood has held strategic leadership positions at many of the industry’s leading companies, including Microsoft (he was the company’s sixth employee), Asymetrix, Starwave Corporation, Interval Research, McCaw Cellular and Notable Technologies. He currently serves on the board of directors of Telescan Inc., a publicly traded online services company based in Houston, Texas, and is a board member of CyberAction, a Bermuda-based corporation that markets online services internationally.
