Kevin Thornton

Vice President & General Manager – myAladdin.com

NeoPoint

Kevin Thornton brings 17 years of high-tech industry experience to NeoPoint.

As vice president and general manager of myAladdin.com, Mr. Thornton is responsible for managing NeoPoint’s new, comprehensive wireless portal, which provides dynamic, location- and intelligent agent-based services to on-the-go consumers.

Prior to joining NeoPoint, Mr. Thornton served as vice president of sales and marketing for RACOM Corp., a digital wireless carrier operating in the Midwest. In less than two years, Mr. Thornton helped the company more than double its revenues. Thornton also initiated a major mobile data initiative. By the end of 1998, data represented more than 20 percent of network traffic - one of the highest ratios in the industry.

With the San Francisco-area software firm Premenos, Mr. Thornton headed the Internet division and established the company as a leader in business-to-business e-commerce. Thornton was a key member of the management team that led the company to an IPO, raising $77 million.

Mr. Thornton also served as a regional manager for Sprint in its national accounts division, responsible for a $40 million territory including San Diego, Arizona, New Mexico, and Las Vegas. He also worked for three years in London as the international planning manager for PARS/Worldspan, an airline reservation system operated by Delta, Northwest and Trans World Airlines.
