Janet Boudris

As Senior Vice President of BellSouth Wireless Data's Strategic Marketing Team, Janet Boudris has directed the positioning of the company as the leading provider of communications solutions. Under her strategic guidance, BellSouth Wireless Data's marketing team is creating customer-focused, market-driven solutions that deliver companies a distinct competitive advantage. Their efforts also include establishing partnerships with "best of class" companies to deliver the components to these solutions.

Boudris leads a dedicated team of marketing professionals including the following: a market development management team with expert knowledge of BellSouth's target markets including field service, transportation and utilities; a market communications team which delivers the company's unique message to the marketplace; a market support team which manages telemarketing and trade show efforts; and a product management and business development team to create relationships with key hardware and software companies.

Boudris has more than 18 years of experience marketing services and solutions based on computer and telecommunications technology. Before joining BellSouth in October 1993, she served as vice president of marketing at Page America Inc., a provider of wireless communications services. Prior to that, Boudris was vice president of marketing for EDS Communication Corporation marketing telecommunications management outsourcing services to Fortune 1000 companies. Boudris held executive positions with Western Union for ten years, ultimately as vice president of Industry Marketing and Office Messaging Services. She was cited as one of the top 25 women in the wireless industry by Wireless Week magazine in its February 8, 1999 issue and was named as one of four "up and comers" in the industry by Wireless Review in its June 1, 1999 issue.

Boudris holds a B.A. from the University of Maryland and an M.A. from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She also studied at the Harvard Business School and the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business. Boudris serves on the Board of Trustees of BIOSIS, a Philadelphia-based not-for-profit organization focused on accumulating, organizing and distributing biological information.
