Rick Hunt currently serves as Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategic Planning for StarBand Communications. In this capacity, Hunt is responsible for StarBand’s long-range planning and for sourcing and leveraging a vast array of external partnerships and alliances. Prior to joining StarBand Communications, Hunt served as the Head of Merrill Lynch’s Strategic Business Evaluation Group, with responsibility for: Private Equity Operations, Strategic Planning, Business Analysis and Project Governance. While at Merrill, Hunt also served as Vice President and Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Merrill Lynch Business Capital Corporation. Prior to his stint at Merrill-Lynch, Hunt served as the Vice President of Business Analysis and Decision Support at Prodigy Communications with responsibility for resource allocation, operational forecasting, e-Commerce partnership development, deal term negotiations and the coordination of the company’s marketing strategy. Before moving to Prodigy, Mr. Hunt spent six years with Pfizer Inc, managing a variety of analytical and business development functions, including several years as the Director of Operations Planning & Analysis. Mr. Hunt's other professional experience consists of international consulting and teaching positions, which included six years in Indonesia and Hong Kong.
