Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications

Larry Whitmeyer is director of satellite correspondent relations for Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications (LMGT) World Systems. Mr. Whitmeyer’s overall responsibilities include the successful negotiation of operating agreements and maintenance of ongoing correspondent relationships with foreign signatories, other foreign entities and service providers, relating to VSAT, Link One and other advanced technology service offerings to be provided by LMGT World Systems. He has been a member of the Global VSAT Forum Board of Directors since November 1999.

Mr. Whitmeyer has more than 20 years experience in the telecommunications field. He began his career as a flight officer in the US Navy and subsequently held positions with Lockheed Martin Management and Data Systems and Loral Orion, where he was the director for operations throughout the Americas region. His past work has involved extensive travel worldwide, particularly in Latin America and Europe, including a three-year NATO staff assignment in Italy.

Mr. Whitmeyer graduated with a BS from the US Naval Academy and holds a MS in Public Administration from the University of West Florida, as well as a MS in Systems Technology (Space Systems Operations) from the US Naval Postgraduate School. Mr. Whitmeyer resides in Bethesda, Maryland.
