David Helfgott is
Senior Vice President, Marketing for GE Americom, and is responsible for the daily
leadership and operations of all marketing functions for Americom.
Mr. Helfgott leads a team which covers
domestic and international marketing strategy, programs and processes including market
intelligence, satellite market requirements, market development, new service development
and product management, marketing communications, and business analysis.
Prior to joining GE Americom, Mr. Helfgott
has held several marketing and sales leadership roles including:
- Vice President Marketing and Sales for Unibex Inc., an
e-commerce services start-up company focused on industry-centric exchanges and e-markets
- Director, European Market Development for eFusion, Inc., an
Intel spin-off company, where he was responsible for developing the IP Telephony
applications market in Europe for network operators, and Internet service providers.
Mr. Helfgott has over 15 years experience in
the Telecom and Internet industries. His background includes extensive experience as a
Senior Manager for both Bell Atlantic Internet Solutions, where he led the development of
BAISs e-commerce strategy centered on Internet-based communities, and MCI
Telecommunications, where he developed VPN, custom data network, and outsourced- services
solutions.
Mr. Helfgott has an MBA from the Darden
School, and a BA from the University of Virginia.
