Mr. Holzel joined MicroOptical Corp in 1999 after serving as VP of marketing & Sales for four years at PixTech, a French start-up manufacturing Field Emission Displays (FED). He opened the U.S. offices in Silicon Valley, and ran the world-wide marketing and sales operations for this innovative emissive flat panel display.

Prior to PixTech, he was Marketing Manager for Display Devices for Raytheon Corp., in Quincy, MA from 1988 to 1995.

From 1981 to 1988, Mr. Holzel founded and was president of Arcturus, Inc., the first manufacturer of computer-compatible large screen video projectors. The company equipped IBM locations around the country with dedicated large-screen display rooms for demonstrating IBM computer capabilities to groups of prospects.

He graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in economics. He lives with his wife and two children in Boston, MA.
