This session will cover the need for basic infrastructure technology in order for mobile applications to be embraced fully by the mass population in the Americas. Specifically, the need for technology and device independent applications that work across the spectrum of devices available to a consumer will be addressed. Consumers are adverse to infrastructure technology – i.e. payments solutions - that are only applicable in a limited universe. Other important features that fully maximize the user experience – non-keypad intensive apps for example - will be emphasized.
