| Prior to joining Atrica, Mr. Yates served in a number of senior management
positions at 3Com. Most recently, he was vice president and general manager of 3Com's WAN
Access Division where he managed the company's initiatives in the VPN, DSL and Voice over
IP CPE. The division became the leading supplier of CPE to prominent CLECs and was
selected as VPN supplier to one of the largest US telecom companies. Mr. Yates joined 3Com
when the company acquired OnStream Networks where Yates was VP of Marketing. Under his
leadership, OnStream became one of the two leading suppliers of ATM access equipment. Before joining Onstream, Mr. Yates held product management positions at Wellfleet Communications/Bay Networks and at AT&T Communications and AT&T Network Systems (now Lucent) where he was responsible for the BNS-2000, one of the first commercial cell switches. Yates holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, MA degrees from Harvard and Oxford universities and a BA with first class honors from Oxford. Main
