| Michael Duran joined Patricof & Co. Ventures, Inc., as a partner, in
February 2000 to focus on hardware investing including telecommunication equipment and
components. He is a director of Bravida Corp., a California based internet infrastructure
company. Prior to joining Patricof, Mr. Duran was a vice-president at Lazard Freres in equity research for 4 years. His primary responsibilities were in sell-side equity research in the data networking industry. Companies covered included Cisco Systems, Inc., Fore Systems, Inc., and 3 Com Corp., among others. At Lazard Freres he was also involved with mergers and acquisitions, and principal investing, in the telecommunications industry. Prior to Lazard Freres, Mr. Duran was a networking manager at Solomon Brothers for 2 years. Before that he was a member of the technical staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories for 11 years. Mr. Duran received his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle. Main
