| Dr. Krishna Bala, founder and chief technical officer, is the lead system
architect for the Aurora Optical Switch Product. He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University
for his work on Routing Algorithms for Optical Networks. Prior to Tellium, Dr. Bala spent
five years with Bellcore as the Lead Architect for the multiwavelength optical networks
project for which he received the Bellcore President's Award of Excellence. Co-author of
the book ‘Multiwavelength Optical Networks: A Layered Approach’ Dr. Bala holds
several patents and has publications in the area of optical switching.
