Richard Harris is a Vice
President with SpaceVest. He participates in all aspects of the investment practice,
including identifying companies, managing and performing due diligence, negotiating and
structuring deals, and representing the firm on boards of directors of portfolio
companies. Previously, he was a Senior Associate and Associate at SpaceVest. Prior to
joining the firm he was a Program Manager for the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship
where he was responsible for linking emerging businesses with capital sources. Earlier in
his career, he was an attorney specializing in civil litigation and intellectual property
law with two nationally-recognized law firms. Mr. Harris received his BA in Economics from
Denison University and his MBA in Finance and JD from the University of Maryland, where he
was awarded the James E. Dingman Scholarship in Entrepreneurship and served as Associate
Editor of The Business Lawyer.
