Toby Farrand Toby Farrand

BroadLogic Network Technologies

In September 1998, Toby Farrand directed the spinout of BroadLogic from Adaptec Corporation, where he had been a consultant for the company’s Satellite Networking Group. Previously, he was president and CEO of CagEnt Technologies, which he founded and later sold to WebTV in April 1998. Prior to CagEnt, Toby served as the Vice President of Engineering and Operations, as well as the General Manager of Systems, at The 3DO Company. During his five-year tenure, he led 3DO’s consumer platform business and played a significant role in the company’s initial public offering.

Toby has also held key positions at Apple Computer, where he spearheaded Apple’s PowerPC engineering efforts. He graduated from Stanford University with a BSEE and a MSEE.
