As President, Mr.
Brant is directing Loral CyberStar to become the leader in delivery of broadband Internet
and infomedia services. Mr. Brant is focusing CyberStar on communication services that
meet the growing technological and strategic requirements of the Internet Service Provider
and corporate communities around the world. His leadership follows over 25 years of
management, sales, operations, and finance experience in the high-technology arena.
Mr. Brant is responsible for all day-to-day
sales, marketing, operations and product development activities. Based on the global
nature of Loral CyberStar's business, Mr. Brant will focus on vastly expanding the
company's business in the burgeoning regions of Latin America, the Middle East and Russia.
Mr. Brant will also continue to advance the company's position in Asia Pacific, Europe and
North America. In addition to achieving the company's regional goals, Mr. Brant will
enhance the cutting edge technology and services including infomedia to the desktop and
advanced Internet content delivery.
Prior to joining CyberStar in September,
1999, Mr. Brant served as President of Controlsat, and Senior Director for Orbital
Communications, the first provider of global data services by low earth orbit satellites.
Mr. Brant created and implemented the business plan for Controlsat, a value-added business
unit of Orbital's global data services business. To propel this new business forward, Mr.
Brant developed, marketed and sold an innovative product line for international markets,
deployed an efficient customer service operation as well as the operational
infrastructure.
From 1992-1997, he acted as Vice President
for Seltronics-Eyretel and General Manager for American Mobile Satellite. Mr. Brant
focused on increasing profits and expanding the sales and marketing operations for
Seltronics voice and data products, achieving significant growth in profits and
implementing an aggressive marketing and indirect distribution strategy. While at American
Mobile, Mr. Brant designed and managed sales and marketing strategies for innovative
mobile voice and data products. During 1973-1992, Mr. Brant served in various sales and
management positions for Dictaphone Corporation, and The A.B. Dick Company.
Mr. Brant holds a Bachelor of Science in
Economics from the University of Maryland.
