Frederick Bauer is a Senior
Network Systems Analyst for COMSAT World Systems, a business unit of COMSAT Corporation.
In this position, he is the engineer for the Link One network, COMSATs powerful
service option that extends ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN and SS7 networks using small, low cost
antennas. In addition, he is responsible for product development for advanced Internet
applications.
Prior to joining COMSAT in 1999, Mr. Bauer served as Principal
Engineer at WorldCom Inc., the predecessor to MCI WorldCom. Mr. Bauers extensive
telecommunications engineering experience at WorldCom included developing Asymmetrical
Internet Services and supervising overseas network development.
Mr. Bauer previously served as an Engineer for COMSAT World
Systems. His duties included implementing the interface specification for a monitor and
control system at COMSATs earth stations and conducting tests for vendor compliance
with COMSAT specific communication protocols.
Mr. Bauer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical
Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in Troy, New York. He currently resides
in Bowie, Maryland.
