Satellites in the Corporate Network: Case Study

The use of satellite links to deliver information to remote locations is a cost-effective solution for many corporations. However, the high latency of satellite transmission can cause significant delays and poor performance of Internet-based applications. Corporations are seeking solutions to optimize Internet via satellite through TCP/IP enhancements such as data compression and protocol conversion. This session will explore real world uses of Internet applications via satellite in the enterprise environment and will stress the importance of integrating web acceleration technology in the network.
