Stephen Wolff is Executive Director of the Advanced Internet Initiatives
Division of Cisco Systems, Inc., responsible for seeking out, initiating, and leading
Cisco participation in partnerships at the forefront of Internet development and
deployment worldwide.
Prior to joining Cisco in 1995, he was Director of the Division of
Networking and Communications Research and Infrastructure in the National Science
Foundation (NSF),where he was responsible for the National Research and Education Network
(NREN) and NSFNET programs, and for NSF's support of basic research in networking and
communications.
Mr. Wolff was educated at Swarthmore College, Princeton University, and
Imperial College; he taught electrical engineering in The Johns Hopkins University for ten
years, and subsequently spent fifteen years supervising computer- and network-related
R&D at the US Army Research Laboratory before moving to the NSF in 1986. He is a
Member of the ACM and a Life Member of the IEEE. |
