Neil Bauer W. NEIL BAUER

President and CEO

Loral Orion, Inc.

Mr. Bauer has over 20 years of sales, operations, and finance experience in the telecommunications industry. He has been President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Orion Network Systems, Inc. since September, 1993. He joined Orion as President and Chief Operating Officer in March, 1993. Since 1993, Mr. Bauer has led Orion through its operational start-up, successful launch of its first satellite in November, 1994 and into full operations in 1995. He has overseen Orion’s successful financing for both IPO and public debt offerings which provided funding for Orion’s next two new satellites currently under construction.

From 1989 to February, 1993, Mr. Bauer served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Operations for GE Americom. Between 1987 and 1989, Mr. Bauer was VP Finance and Chief Financial Officer of GE Americom and later head of Commercial Sales. He held several key financial planning positions at GE/RCA from 1984 through 1986 focused on operational and business analysis of diverse business units including all communications units. In 1984, he was appointed to the RCA Corporate management staff as Director of Financial Analysis. In this position, he was responsible for monitoring the strategic and operational plans of all RCA Communications divisions, The Hertz Corporation and CIT Financial. Appointed in 1986 as Director, Financial Operations, GE Communications and Services Group, he was responsible for the financial planning and operational performance review of Group units with revenues of $2 billion per year.

From 1974-1983, he was employed by RCA Global Communications, an
international record carrier. During this period, he held several financial and operational positions and was responsible for all financial and business
planning. He holds a BS in Industrial Management from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Temple University.
