Douglas E. Humphrey is a recent appointee to the ARIN Board of Directors. He is the president and founder of SkyCache, the premier satellite data delivery company. He has most notably impacted the Internet industry by founding DIGEX, Inc., a national ISP (Internet Service Provider). DIGEX was founded in 1991, became a publicly traded company (NASDAQ:DIGX) in October, 1996 and was sold in July, 1997 to Intermedia Communications.

As creator of Phase1, an Internet "incubator" that invests time and money in providing basic assistance to Internet related startup companies, Doug has a hand in bringing emerging technology companies to the forefront of the investment community. When available, Doug Humphrey travels around the globe speaking to audiences on technological issues as related to the fields of Internet and satellite broadcast.
