Myron
Mosbarger founded Helius, Inc. in October 1995 after identifying a unique market
opportunity to develop a LAN version of Hughes' single user DirecPC product. His vision
immediately sparked the interest of The Canopy Group who agreed to back the effort, which
rapidly gained the support of Hughes Network Systems. Prior to forming Helius, Mosbarger
was a Senior Research Engineer at Novell where he focused on the integration and
optimization of IPX and TCP/IP networks. At Novell, Mosbarger also specialized in
architectural and functional design of network communication protocols over satellite
systems. He assisted Hughes Network Systems and AT&T Tridom to troubleshoot and design
customer networks worldwide. As a senior consultant, Mosbarger contributed to the design,
evaluation, and troubleshooting of major corporate account networks. As division manager
of network services for First Security Bank, he directed the restructuring of four
independent departments into one integrated voice, data, and application delivery
division. He began his career as an educator and served as a classroom teacher, assistant
principal and district computer specialist. Mosbarger holds an M.Ed. in Educational
Administration from Brigham Young University. |
