| John Esposito is a systems architect and technologist
who has developed digital satellite systems for the commercial, civil and government
markets for the better part of two decades. A veteran of the Hughes Space and
Communications, GE/Lockheed-Martin AstroSpace and GE Americom organizations, John has an
extensive background encompassing Digital design, Product Management, Systems Engineering,
Product, Service and Business Development. In his current position as
Director of New Business Development for Project OXYGEN, a 2.5Tbps international ATM
network currently in development, he is responsible for developing Broadband services and
identifying strategic partners, internationally.
John has contributed consistently to the creation of new products and services
by finding new uses for satellite technology. In the early 90's, he focused primarily on
Broadband-IP and Digital Video and was instrumental in the beginnings of many of the
systems in place today. While working at GE Capital-American Communications,
Lockheed-Martin and Hughes, John contributed to new technology endeavors ranging from the
precursor to DirecTV to the AstroLink and GE-Star programs.
In the last 6 years as a lead Technologist on many Business Development teams,
John has been involved in the development of Internet related services over combined
(hybrid), satellite and fiber networks.
Mr. Esposito has authored many industry white papers as well as a number of
articles on the subject of Next Generation Internet and Multimedia services and has made
numerous presentations at major Network and Satellite conferences on the subject of
Broadband Internet.
Mr. Esposito holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the State
University of New York and is a member of the SMPTE and the IEEE. |
