All-Optical Networks Conference

All-Optical Networks Conference
Overview:

The All-Optical Network (AON) promises what has long been sought by carriers, ISP's, and private network operators - increased bandwidth, reduced costs, fewer components, easier management, and greater reliability. The need for these improvements is obvious - record numbers of new Internet users, site congestion and outages, the explosion in data traffic - all demonstrate the phenomenal growth of the Internet and the need for increased bandwidth. And the adoption of high-speed last-mile technologies will certainly fuel greater demand. Advances in optical technologies offer a possible solution. This conference will explore the developments in optical switching, access and transport that will make the all optical network a reality, rather than just a possibility.
