| Will attended Devry Institute of Technology and also has a degree in
Mid-Management from Richland College. He worked for 13 years as Alcatel Network Systems in Richardson, Texas, as an engineering technician, operations supervisor and Technical Training Instructor for multiplex, cross-connect and transmission systems. Will joined MCI in 1992 and worked for six years. The first two of those years was as a Technical Training Instructor, rolling out MCIs SONET training program. He then moved into engineering in a Technology Integration role and finally served as a Transmission Network Design Engineer in Network Planning. Will then moved to Chorum Technologies in Richardson, where he served as Senior Applications Planner for the Startups line of components, subsystems and network elements. Will joined Tellium in 1999 as a Senior Network Architect in the development of the optical mesh restoration platform on their Aurora A512 Optical Switch product. Will has focused his study on backbone restoration architecture evolution for the last six years. During his tenure at MCI, Will co-designed the "Dynamic Transmission Network Restoration" (Mesh Restoration) platform and received six patents for his work. He has other patents pending for restoration architecture and implementation protocols as well. |
